Porongurup Festival

Sunday 28th February 2021

While the world has been locked away, the magical Porongurup has been whispering about reuniting its people and produce with visitors from near and far. And now is your chance to find yourself in the Porongurups to experience all that is truly special about this unique place.
Set at the beautiful Jingalla Winery, this year’s festival is primed to fill hearts and souls (and appetites) on Sunday 28th February 2021, with gates opening at 11am. Whether its local food, wine or entertainment, there is something for the whole family!
Only a 15-minute drive east of Mount Barker, the Porongurup Range is the oldest mountain range in the world. Over 1 billion years old, this ancient forest island is home to towering granite peaks, majestic stands of Karri trees and is surrounded by world renowned wineries. Known for its awesome natural beauty, wildflowers, colourful local characters and a huge variety of natural sightseeing attractions, the Porongurup Range is one of the world’s best kept secrets.
Jingalla Winery is nestled at the foot of the stunning Nancy Peak in the heart of Porongurup and estate owners, Barry and Shelley Coad welcome visitors to their beautiful property. Established by Geoff and Nita Clarke in 1979, 'Jingalla' is an Aboriginal term meaning moon or crescent shape, which describes the shape of the property, below the granite domes of the Porongurup National Park.
Known for its stunning cool climate wines, the Porongurup Festival showcases local wineries and winemakers, as visitors enjoy tastings, masterclasses and special offers. A featured range of local food trucks will complement our wines and there’ll be something to appease all palettes!
A selection of entertainment will keep toes tapping, while our family corner will amuse the young and old. Local artists and craftspeople will present a market for visitors to purchase unique pieces and souvenirs.
Accommodation will be at a premium, so if you’re planning on joining us for the 2021 festival, you really should book now! Please visit the Porongurup website for more details, or book directly through the accommodation provider’s websites.
