2022 Seniors Expo a huge success

More than 100 people joined Empowering Plantagenet Seniors (EPS) and the Shire of Plantagenet on Friday 11 November to celebrate 2022 Seniors Week.

This year’s Seniors Expo hosted local and regional service providers including Hall and Prior, Baptist Care, the Department of Transport, Carers WA, Advocare, and many more. The event was a fabulous opportunity to connect with other seniors and to obtain first-hand information relating to what’s on offer for our community.

The Shire of Cranbrook joined the event with two busloads of seniors and many came to enjoy a delicious free morning tea following the local Remembrance Day Service at Centenary Park.

EPS President and Shire of Plantagenet Councillor Sue Etherington said: ‘We were pleased to see so many seniors and exhibitors come together to network this morning despite the wintery weather and other events happening within the region. The Shire of Plantagenet’s Seniors Expo is in its fourth year now and has become a major event on the local seniors calendar’.

The event was proudly supported by COTA (WA) and the Department of Communities through their 2022 WA Seniors Week Community Grant Program.
