Applications for the Shire’s Community Grants Program for incorporated clubs and community organisations opened today.
Shire President Chris Pavlovich encouraged organisations seeking financial assistance during the 2023/2024 financial year to apply.
“Last year Council awarded more than $89,500 to 21 community groups and sporting clubs through the grants program,” Cr Pavlovich said.
“These grants reflect Council’s commitment to support clubs and groups who contribute to making Plantagenet a great place to live and visit.
“Some changes have been made to the program this year. Not-for-profit organisations that lease a Shire building and provide a community service may be eligible to become an Endorsed Community Service Organisation and qualify for an annual subsidy.
“This new grant scheme will run concurrently with the main Community Grants Program.”
