Mount Barker Hill walking trail

Works will soon be underway to build a walking trail at Mount Barker Hill. The path will offer great views, be pushchair and wheelchair friendly, and feature a treetop walk-style raised boardwalk.  Local contractors Plantagenet Sheds and Steel have been engaged to design and construct the boardwalk section following a Request for Quote process. Clearing will be kept to a minimum through environmentally conscious design to preserve the native bushland. The Rotary Lookout and car park will remain open for the duration of works, although access to the ring road at the summit will be restricted for short periods. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of June 2021.
