The Shire of Plantagenet proudly presented ‘Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers’, a theatrical and interactive experience, at the Plantagenet District Hall on Monday 19 September 2022.

Over 200 children from Kendenup and Mount Barker Primary Schools gathered at the Hall to join the cast from International Interactive Theatre on a journey around the world as Roald Dahl's words were disappearing, not only from books but from children's minds too!

The show was a thrilling story delivered through performance, games and creative play, exploring Roald Dahl's extraordinary stories, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG and The Twits.

“We were extremely lucky to be able to bring this world class family performance by Get Lost & Found, Puffin, and The Roald Dahl Story Company in association with Interactive Theatre International to Plantagenet”, said Isabelle Draffehn, Community Development Officer. “The students thoroughly enjoyed the show and enthusiastically engaged with the cast!’

A big thank you must go to Paul Ritchie for volunteering his time and expertise for the day, working hand in hand with the production team, to ensure all sound and lighting effects were set up and running.

Thank you also to Plantagenet Players for making the Hall available for this amazing event.

“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it!”
