Upgrades to Bonnyup and Kendenup Hall Playgrounds

As part of the 2019/2020 Budget, the Council approved upgrades to the existing play equipment at Bonnyup Park and Kendenup Hall.

Plans and 3D designs of the equipment to be installed are now available.  Each of the designs has been created in conjunction with a playground specialist and have been reviewed by Kidsafe WA.

Both playgrounds have been designed for the two to twelve year old age range with consideration given to the play elements of climbing and balancing, development of upper body strength, swinging and forced movement.

Executive Manager of Works and Services, David Lynch says ‘The additions to the current playgrounds are intended to increase the opportunity for activity for local children and bring families outdoors together to enjoy the space at these locations’.

Delivery of the playground equipment is scheduled for early September 2020 and installation will be completed once the equipment has arrived.

The plans are available for viewing in the foyer at the Shire Administration Office or the Shire of Plantagenet website www.plantagenet.wa.gov.au
