The Great Southern Development Commission and all Great Southern Local Government Authorities acknowledge the ongoing challenges in attracting and accommodating workers in the Great Southern region.
A strategy is currently being prepared to identify the core issues and determine priority initiatives and projects that can improve on the many factors contributing to accommodation shortages. A survey has been developed for local businesses, organisations or agencies that are based in the region, are struggling to attract workers, and are suffering from worker accommodation shortages.
