At its meeting on Tuesday 31 October 2023, the Shire of Plantagenet Council elected Cr Len Handasyde as President and Cr Andrew Fraser as Deputy President for two-year terms.
Cr Handasyde thanked his fellow councillors for showing faith in him and welcomed the opportunity to serve as President. Cr Handasyde congratulated those councillors elected at the recent elections and welcomed the new councillors.
At the recent local government elections long serving councillor Cr Ken Clements was returned to Council and newly elected Councillors Cr Rosie Brown, Cr Josh Liebeck and Cr Warren Sheard were elected for four-year terms
Prior to the meeting, returning and newly elected councillors made a declaration of office before the CEO.
