The Shire of Plantagenet’s Community Services Team are about community, connection, building capacity and improving wellbeing for the Shire’s residents.  We’re looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Team in the full-time position of Coordinator Community Development.

 

Community development is building effective networks and creating partnerships to achieve good outcomes for the community and the Shire.  The Coordinator of Community Development will:

  • Develop, facilitate and manage programs and projects to meet community expectations.
  • Build capacity within community groups, clubs, organisations and services.
  • Identify opportunities for resource sharing, skills development and collaboration; and
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of grant applications, reports and submissions to attract resources for community groups and projects.

 

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same and your ability to multitask will be invaluable.

 

We want someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys working with people and brings a positive, flexible attitude
  • Has strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoys being flexible and adaptable
  • Is organised, detail-focused and can handle multiple projects / initiatives at any one time
  • Works well in a team, including with volunteers
  • Has a C-Class Driver’s Licence and can obtain a National Police Clearance

Competitive conditions of employment are offered including a cash salary range of $75,858 to $87,773 p.a., 12% superannuation and co-contributions of up to 5%, four weeks’ annual leave including 17.5% leave loading, plus other benefits.
