Mount Barker Public Library

Located at the front of the Community Resource Centre, the Shire's library offers a wide range of materials and services to encourage life-long learning and community resilience. The library also boasts an impressive art display with the Claude Hotchin collection on permanent exhibition.

Membership is free for Great Southern residents.

We also have free WIFI!

Charges apply to computer use, scanning, printing, and photocopying.

Regular Programs

Every Thursday 10am to 12pm: Play in the Park (now at Wilson Park) for pre-schoolers.

Every Friday during school term 10.30am to 12pm: Wriggle, Giggle & Grow for babies and toddlers.

First Wednesday of the month 10.30am to 12pm: Foreign Detective Book Club.

Last Friday of each Month 2.00 to 3.30pm (approx): Armchair Theatre showing free film.

Special Events

Every Friday during school holidays 10.30am to 12pm: Art and craft for school age kids.
