Notice is hereby given that the sum of $3,932.98 has been owing to the Shire of PLANTAGENET for a period of 3 years for rates in respect of the land described below and unless payment is made of the sum of $3,932.98 within 3 months from the date of this notice the local government will, pursuant to section 6.64 of the Local Government Act 1995, offer the land for sale by public auction at a time and place appointed by the local government.

The Shire has received an application to use and/or develop land for an abattoir (extension of plate freezer) in Narrikup.

The Shire has received an application for a tourism development in Narrikup.

The Shire has proposed to create a one-way configuration (east to west) for Thomas Street, Mount Barker.

The Shire has received an application to use and develop land for the following purpose non-conforming land use for a community purpose (Rehabilitation Facility) and public comments are invited. To be located at 217 Moorilup Road Kendenup.

The Shire has received an application for consulting rooms located at 11 Donnelly Peak View Mount Barker

The Shire has received an application for a Tourist Development (4 x Chalets) located at 433 Pile Road, Forest Hill.

The Shire has received an application to increase the capacity of a Caravan Park (Nature Based Park) located at 2875 Red Gum Pass Road, Kendenup to a maximum of 14 sites (70 occupants).

The Shire of Plantagenet continues to reform its local planning framework, with further changes to planning policies adopted on 25 November.

The Council adopted proposed changes to two local planning policies at the meeting on 26 August.

In accordance with section 6.11 (2) of the Local Government Act 1995, where a Local Government resolves to change the purpose of a reserve account or use the money in a reserve account for another purpose, it must give one month’s local public notice of the proposed change of purpose or proposed use.
