The Shire of Plantagenet seeks to appoint a highly motivated person to join our Parks and Gardens division as a General Hand. This is a permanent, full-time position. The duties will include, but are not limited to, mowing, weeding, tree pruning, spraying, whipper snipping and general maintenance work.
The successful applicant will work as part of a small parks and gardens team responsible for the maintenance of the Shire’s parks, gardens and sporting fields and will report to the Leading Hand – Parks and Gardens.
A current Western Australian ‘MR’ class Driver’s Licence, White Card, and experience using plant and equipment relevant to parks and gardens maintenance and operations is essential. Experience operating commercial gardening equipment is desirable.
Salary: $35.85 per hour, up to 17% superannuation, four weeks annual leave (including 17.5% leave loading) plus other benefits.
