The Shire of Plantagenet is seeking a motivated and community‑focused professional to support local business growth, strengthen tourism, and help deliver high‑quality programs through the Community Resource Centre.
About the Role
You’ll be the key contact for local businesses, tourism operators, and community organisations—helping drive economic development, coordinating events and training, and managing vibrant community spaces including the co‑working hub, study hub, and commercial kitchen. You’ll also support CRC contract delivery, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support small businesses with guidance, resources, and connections.
- Coordinate Business After Hours events, workshops, and networking.
- Promote state and federal business support programs.
- Assist with tourism branding and visitor experience initiatives.
- Manage CRC reporting, performance monitoring, and program delivery.
- Oversee co‑working, study hub, and commercial kitchen operations.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, industry groups, and agencies.
- Represent the Shire at community and business events.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in business, economic or community development.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
- Ability to coordinate events and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Desirable: qualifications in business/economics/tourism, regional experience, or facility management.

Classification: Part-time (0.75 FTE) Level 5 –7 $77,375.81 - $89,529.39 (pro-rata)
