The Shire of Plantagenet is seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to the CEO, Council and senior staff.

The role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on meaningful projects.

Reporting to the CEO, you will:

  • Coordinate executive schedules, meeting and travel.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes and media releases.
  • Attend Council and Elector’s meetings and record minutes.
  • Liaise with the public, government agencies and stakeholders.
  • Support research, policy maintenance and statutory meeting requirements.
  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism and the Shire’s values.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications or experience in business administration.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Research and analytical capability.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Current C-class Driver’s Licence

Desirable

  • Local government experience.
  • Report writing and records management knowledge.

Competitive conditions of employment are offered including a salary of up to $100,298 (Level 7 - 8) per annum plus 12% superannuation contribution and co-contributions of up to 5%.  The appointed person will be required to work 76 hours per fortnight on a 9-day fortnightly cycle.
