We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Rates Officer (Part-time) to support our Corporate & Community Services team. Offering a unique opportunity to learn on the job (if required), this part‑time position will play a key role in administering rate functions while delivering friendly, high‑quality service to our community.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the preparation, levy and dispatch of rate notices
  • Maintain accurate property and rating records
  • Coordinate payments, instalments, and debt recovery processes
  • Provide excellent customer service to ratepayers
  • Support the finance team during peak periods and leave cover

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of local government rating processes and legislation
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving and customer service skills
  • Experience with computerised rating systems and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately and collaboratively

Classification:  Part-time Level 4 –7 $71,651.73 (pro-rata)
