The Shire of Plantagenet is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Waste Facility Plant Operator to support operations at the O'Neill Waste Facility, Mount Barker.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position with a minimum 6-hour Sunday shift, and 4-hour Tuesday shift each week. Additional shifts may be available to cover staff leave and absences.
About the Role
You will assist with the day-to-day operation of the waste facility, including:
- Operating plant and equipment
- Assisting customers and monitoring waste disposal
- Processing payments and maintaining records
- Ensuring the facility remains safe, clean and compliant
What You'll Bring
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience operating loaders and/or skid steer equipment
- White Card and current WA C Class Driver's Licence
- A reliable, proactive approach to work
Classification: (Part-time - FTC) Level 4 - $35.85 per hour
