The Shire of Plantagenet and Shire of Denmark are seeking to appoint a part-time Workplace Health & Safety Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing advice, training, and compliance oversight on a broad range of Work Health and Safety (WHS) matters. They will ensure that both Shires provide a safe working environment for all Councillors, staff, contractors and visitors.
This is a permanent, part-time position for up to 50 hours per fortnight (2/3 allocated to the Shire of Plantagenet and 1/3 to the Shire of Denmark), reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. While WHS qualifications are desirable, they are not essential. The successful applicant will need to obtain these qualifications within the first 12 months, if they do not already hold them. Applicants with demonstrated WHS experience are encouraged to apply.
Salary: $38.39 per hour (Level 5)
