Festival of Small Halls - Porongurup

Past Event

The Festival of Small Halls is a series of tours that takes some of the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists and sends them on the road to halls in communities all over Australia. Each event is a beautiful evening filled with community catch-ups, high quality original music, and endless good spirit.

 ABOUT THE AUTUMN TOUR 2023

  • This is the 34th Festival of Small Halls Tour of Australia;
  • 15 halls are participating in the tour;
  • Colin Lillie relocated from Scotland to Alice Springs, where he has flourished as a musician. He knows firsthand the magic of bringing live music to remote places.
  • Iona Fyfe sings folk and pop songs in the Scots language, and leads a successful campaign to have Scots added to Spotify’s list of languages.

“The Festival of Small Halls is a pinnacle for touring - celebrating and fostering community spirit, resilience, and passion. We’re so grateful to be welcomed into these amazing small towns, and to put shows on with our incredibly talented dynamic artists. Together, we forge events that are retold as stories from the drive home to the dinner table for years to come.”

- Isobel Bartlett, Producer, Festival of Small Halls
