Each year, the Council allocates funding in its Annual Budget to help community organisations that contribute positively to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic wellbeing of the Shire.
Whether you’re a sporting club, a cultural organisation, an environmental group, or a local initiative with a community focus, we encourage you to explore the opportunities available through the Community Grants Program.
The program has four funding categories:
1. CEO Donation (up to $1,000) - open year-round;
2. Quick Response Grant (less than $3,000) - open year-round;
3. Community Grant (more than $3,000) - Round One open 1 August - 30 September and Round Two open 1 February - 31 March;
4. Industry Support (Triennium Community Grants) - open 1 February - 31 March.
The Mount Barker Bulls Football Club received $5000 to support disadvantaged teens to play footy after applying for a Community Grant in Round One in 2025/2026.
