EOI: Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee Independent Members

Expressions of Interest are invited from individuals interested in joining the Shire of Plantagenet Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee in the roles of Independent Chair and Deputy Chair.

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee assists Council to monitor the integrity of the Shire’s financial statements, risk management, internal controls and compliance with legislative requirements.

Applicants should ideally be experienced in financial management, governance and risk management with an understanding of the local government sector.

Meetings

Meetings are held at least four times per year, generally at the Shire Administration Centre in Mount Barker. 

Meeting attendance fees are up to $450 per meeting.

Appointments

Appointments to the Committee will be made by a resolution of Council following the public advertising process and a recommendation from the Chief Executive Officer.

Appointments will be for a term of up to two years until the next local government ordinary elections date.
