More than 200 people participated in our winter school holiday program, which was packed with exciting activities and excursions.
Thanks to the families, children, staff and facilitators who made this program such a success.
Highlights included a high-energy drumming workshop with James from Palmerston that had everyone moving to the beat, and a Winter Warmer Kids Cooking Class where youth whipped up delicious treats to share. Thanks Donna and Mattie from WA Country Health Service (Great Southern) for running this popular class again.
The Mount Barker Recreation Centre hosted dynamic dance and cheerleading classes and exhilarating rock wall climbing, while the Mount Barker Public Library hosted creative arts and crafts, LEGO building and a magical teddy bears’ sleepover filled with bedtime stories and surprises!
Day trips to Orana Cinemas to watch How to Train Your Dragon and Wild West Ten Pin Bowling were popular ways to stay cosy indoors.
This school holiday program saw the introduction of a new online booking system, which aims to streamline the booking process for families. Your feedback on the process helps us improve and grow the school holiday program.
