Have your say on Draft Local Planning Policy 3 - Outbuildings (Closed)

A new planning policy that aims to assist in streamlining applications for outbuildings (sheds) is being advertised by the Shire of Plantagenet Council.

Town Planning Policy No. 16.3, which was adopted in 2017, and requires updating to reduce ‘red-tape’ and streamline approvals for Outbuildings (Sheds).

DRAFT Local Planning Policy 3 – Outbuildings aims to align the Shire State Government expectations around reducing ‘red-tape’ where the legislation allows for it. The Policy aims to provide guidance and allowances for Outbuildings in all zones to be able to be exempt from requiring planning approval and being able to go straight to Building Permit. This will vastly speed up approval timeframes.

Submissions close 4.00pm Wednesday 31 May 2023.

The results of the community consultation will then be presented to the Council for review and decision.
