The Council at its meeting on 22 July 2025 approved parking restrictions at two locations within the Mount Barker townsite.
In accordance with Part 2, Clause 2.6 of the Shire of Plantagenet Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law 2008, ‘No Stopping On Road Or Verge' signs have been assigned to the following locations:
- Mount Barker Road – Either side of and opposite the entrance to St John Ambulance at Lot 75 Mount Barker Road.
- Lowood Road – The footpath on the corner of Lowood Road and Memorial Road from the railway crossing to the parking bays adjacent to 6 Lowood Road.

Ranger Services will monitor these locations to ensure drivers comply. Penalties may be enforced for parking contrary to the signs.
