The Shire of Plantagenet Council adopted the following changes to local planning policies at its meeting on 25 November:
- Newly adopted Local Planning Policy #6 – Water Tanks
- Newly adopted Local Planning Policy #7 – Stormwater Management
- Revoked (deleted) Town Planning Policy 21 – Water Efficiency
Local Planning Policy No. 6 – Water Tanks replaces Town Planning Policy No. 21 – Water Efficiency to improve the clarity of development standards and increase the range of water tanks that can be built without needing planning approval.
Local Planning Policy No. 7 – Stormwater Management sets a standard for on-lot stormwater management, balancing landowner responsibilities to provide for their own development with the capability of the public drainage system to accommodate overflow. This policy provides greater clarity and certainty for landowners planning a development.
